Madonna's Maverick Films, in conjunction with in-house Producers Kevin Cleary and Josh Morris are currently developing Hurricane Entertainment's hit graphic novel VIOLENT MESSIAHS: THE BOOK OF JOB as a feature film. Maverick and the Creative Artists Agency have put VIOLENT MESSIAHS on a fast track development cycle.

This venture marks the beginning of Hurricane's relationship with Maverick, which includes a first look deal for developing Hurricane properties for film, television and videogames. With its successful release of AGENT CODY BANKS, Maverick will be concentrating on its franchise-type film projects with VIOLENT MESSIAHS at the top of its list.

VIOLENT MESSIAHS, published through Image Comics was co-created by William O'Neill and Joshua Dysart and is penciled by Tone Rodriguez. In June Hurricane will release John Carpenter's Snake Plissken Chronicles through CrossGen Comics. O'Neill and Rodriguez will be writing and drawing the continuing tales of the infamous Snake from Carpenter's ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK film series
